  • May 6 — Jim Davidson and I will serve as the keynote speakers at the annual meeting of the Colorado Authors’ League.
  • Nov. 17 — Boulder Daily Camera reporter Charlie Brennan and I will speak at the Denver Press Club about our recent collaborative report on DNA in the JonBenet Ramsey murder case.

2014 Events:

  • March 10 — I will be speaking to a class of fifth- and sixth-graders at Stargate School who read “The Crossing” as a year-long project.

2013 Events:

  • Feb. 21-23 — I will attend the Colorado Press Association’s annual convention and will help lead a workshop on reporting and writing. Details to come. For more information about the CPA, visit the organization’s website.
  • Feb. 27 — I will appear at “The Story Behind the Story” sponsored by The Denver Post along with Dick Kreck and Mark Obmascik to discuss the research that goes into non-fiction writing. The event is scheduled from 5:30 to 7:30 at The Post’s downtown Denver building, 101 W. Colfax Ave. Registration details can be found here.
  • July 15-19 — I and other members of the I-News team will be teaching at the Investigative Journalism Institute for high school journalism students and teachers. The event will be held at the University of Colorado’s Boulder campus. Details can be found here.
  • July 29 — Jim Davidson and I will speak at the Statewide Editors Association Conference in Boulder. Event registration will be required to attend.
  • Sept. 11 — Jim Davidson and I will speak and sign copies of The Ledge at Bookworm of Edwards, 295 Main St. The event starts at 6 p.m.

  • March 21 — Jim Davidson and I will appear at the American Alpine Club at 6 p.m. to discuss our book, The Ledge: An Adventure Story of Friendship and Survival on Mount Rainier.

  • July 26 — Jim Davidson and I will launch publication of our book, The Ledge: An Adventure Story of Friendship and Survival on Mount Rainier, at the Tattered Cover LoDo, 1628 16th St. in Denver. The event starts at 7:30 p.m. We will discuss The Ledge, answer questions and sign books.

  • Aug. 5 — Jim Davidson is scheduled to appear at the Outdoor Retailer Summer Market Trade Show in Salt Lake City, where he will sign copies of The Ledge from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Lowa booth.
